Wearing weights whilst motorcycling ?

Postby Mr Mouse » March 18th, 2016, 6:23 pm

Hey Guy's,

I was just wondering how many guy's on here ride motorbikes ? & wondered how many of them ride their bikes whilst wearing weights ? I have been out twice now on my Guzzi & the vibrations from the vee twin engine were just supreme ! :D

So yesterday I was out & about on my Suzuki SV650, another v-twin & I racked up over 200 miles before getting home. Again I had my weights on & once comfortable on the bike all was good, not as intense an experience as last weekend but still nice all the same ! :D

I might suggest riding while wearing a kilt. My hang lolls around directly on the seat of my vintage Schwinn Krate series Sting Ray bicycle and feels great just from road vibrations.

Had to quit motorcycles when I got carpel tunnel syndrome in my right wrist. ( Not from whacking off - )

A mate of mine who just turned 82 last month is still riding motorbikes after having an operation for that, have you considered surgery on yours. :?:

I've talked to too many that wish they hadn't done it. It's no pain now unless I hammer too much or use something that really vibrates. got rid of my orbital sander - it's too handy.

Out again at the weekend on my 500 Royal Enfield this time, you can't beat the vibes from a big single ! Have decided though for reasons of comfort to only wear a single 15mm weight while out on a bike, seems to be working out quite well !

Update time ! I have found that as I have added weights it just doesn't work for me, so I have had to remove them whilst biking !

I used to ride a motorcycle on the street and in the dirt. I also used to road-race motorcycles. I'm actually glad that I didn't have the longer hang that I do now when I was doing that - they would have got in the way hanging down one leg of my leathers! I certainly wouldn't have worn weights while racing.

In the bad old days when motorcycle fuel filler spigots always stood proud above the tank top, severe damage to the testicles was a very common if little discussed result of a motorcycle crash. Think about it - the bike stops when it hits something, but the rider goes on ..... his crotch slides right across the tank top and its protruding filler cap..... OUCH!! My doctor brother patched up a few such injuries (although one was "terminal"), and always described them in gory detail because he wished that I wasn't a motorcyclist! Now I'm not - I stopped riding some years ago as the traffic became crazier and roads became straighter! More risk and less fun................
